The application does not have any configuration option other than what files can be opened. I need an application that has options for password, encryption, and where to put the files.

I need to tweak its behaviour to be exactly like system archive app. 1)I dont need to reveal extracted files in Finder; 2)Id like the iZIP to automatically delete archives after the uncompressing.
I couldnt be more happy for purchasing this App! Its just marvelous for what it does!
I tried exracting some Zip files, multiple Zip files within one folder. When i highlight all the files to be extracted, this app extracts each file seperately in a diffrent folder and into a .rar file. I was looking for somethiing similar to WinZip but unless im not using this properly, it doesnt do what i needed to do.
iZip is a great app, its does what it says it does, is simple to use, uncluttered, a small application, and supports common .RAR and .ZIP files. However it needs more features and configuration options, some great one would be: •Encryption and Password for files, •Automatically delete decompressed files, •Support for other file types (in frequent updates), •Change compressed files in between available formats, •User Interface changes, addition of Menu, Settings, and About buttons, •Automatically check for updates in App Store, •Log app activities in an accessible log file. (And also: I like the app icon.)
I guess I expected too much. With a name like iZip, I expected the app to compress files. It only Unzips. I just wasted a buck.
I was thinking that an app that decompresses files would also zip them up. My fault for not reading the description clearly BUT it certainly would be helpful if the maker of iZip included it in the description. I tried to email the company and got an error on their comment form.
Ordinarally, I dont make reviews good or bad but this made me crazy for a few minits. Ive been suckered out of a buck. Thank goodness it was on sail and not the ususla $3.99. I needed to ZIP a file not unZIP a file. Google search had my answer. go there before you waste a buck on this app or anyothers on this dumb apple rip off store. Jim
I foolishly thought it would CREATE zip files as well. It doesnt. Do not buy, you dont need it.
Dont know what people are complaining about. No it doesnt zip files however, macs cant open far files so for a dollar this was just what I needed.
Even though it doesnt zip files, this was still extremely helpful! Id been having trouble unzipping some huge folders for a long time, this did it for me in 30 seconds. For $0.99, Id say it was worth the buy for a technically challenged individual such as myself.
this app is so useful i dont know what anybody else is talking about totally worth a dollar
Right click (or control click) on the folder you want to zip and select compress. This will create a zip NATIVELY in OSX. You dont need an application do to this. Anyone giving this app 1 star for its inability to create a zip file lacks a fundamental understanding of the OS to make that criticism. That being said. Four stars for the ability to open the archives that OSX doesnt open by default which is why anybody should purchase an application like this.
After update it says "no permission" balabala and asks you to click extract. Very annoying.
App under El Capitan cannot be set to be the default unarchiver. Don’t waste the $.99 like I did.
